About Mike Gminski
Mike Gminski spent 14 years in the NBA and remains one of Duke's most decorated players ever. Today, he's just as committed to a different kind of comeback — his own, and helping others find theirs.
Years into his personal recovery journey, Mike now serves as Sana Recovery Foundation's Community Ambassador, working to make sure no family in Charlotte faces addiction alone. His voice and presence turn this tournament into something bigger than basketball: a public reminder that recovery is possible and that nobody has to do it alone.

The Story Behind the Event
This tournament brings that same spirit to Marvin Ridge HS. Thousands of players, parents, coaches, and college recruiters will fill the gym over three days — the same environment where a young athlete once needed a team behind him to make it through. Every dollar raised helps Sana Recovery Foundation keep its resource navigation, family support groups, and education programs free for the Charlotte community.
